Spinner Mason {Open}

Personality:

Spinner is a guy who loves to play jokes on people and have fun. He’s always trying to get a rise out of people. He’s normally smiling and just trying to have fun.

Background:

Spinner was always a little off. He didn’t do very well in school so the only thing that mattered to him was friends. He cared about them more than anyone else. He had a good bond with Jimmy, his best friend for most of his life. When Rick was framed Spinner didn’t even think twice when Jay told him to blame Jimmy. That resulted in his best friend never being able to walk again and almost lose his life. It started causing him to sleep walk very badly. To the point that he would leave the house endangering himself and others.  Along with that his anger was getting out of control and people kept thinking that there was no way that he could function in real life.

Past connections:

Spinner knows Darcy, Jay and Jimmy.

Diagnosed with-Sleepwalking, ADHD and ODD

Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism, is a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family. Sleepwalkers arise from the slow wave sleep stage in a state of low consciousness and perform activities that are usually performed during a state of full consciousness.

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is a diagnosis described by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) as an ongoing pattern of disobedient, hostile and defiant behavior toward authority figures which goes beyond the bounds of normal childhood behavior.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD or AD/HD or ADD) is a developmental disorder.[1] It is primarily characterized by “the co-existence of attentional problems and hyperactivity, with each behavior occurring infrequently alone” and symptoms starting before seven years of age.

Darcy Edwards {Open}

Personality:

Darcy was a generally happy person. It was not easy for her to be happy after everything that had happened to her but it was her life now. She kind of sketchy about people now though and likes to stay away from people just watching them from a distance.

Background:

Darcy was always a child of God. Just like her sister. It was how she was raised but she began to doubt him when she was stalked by a man named Adams. It was one of the scariest things to ever happen to her, even though he didn’t actually do anything to her. Not long ever that though she was raped at a party that she went to when her parents didn’t know. She lost all faith in the world and began to become so paranoid. No one was honest and everyone worried her. She began to become quiet and not as happy as she used to be. She was different now and her parents wanted her to get help because it was just getting worse as time went on.

Past connections:

Darcy Edwards knows Clare Edwards, Peter Stone, and Spinner Mason.

Diagnosed with-ASPD, PPD, and GAD

Antisocial personality disorder (ASPD) is defined by the American Psychiatric Association’s Axis II (personality disorders) of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV-TR) as “…a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood.

Paranoid personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis characterized by paranoia and a pervasive, long-standing suspiciousness and generalizedmistrust of others

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder that is characterized by excessive, uncontrollable and often irrational worry about everyday things that is disproportionate to the actual source of worry.

Manuela Santos- {Open}

Personality:

Manny always felt that she was destined to be something amazing. An actress, and her attitude showed that. She was confident in herself and her choices. The only person who didn’t agree with her, were the people that she needed the most. Her parents. It made her upset but she tried not to show it.

Background:

Manny grew up with a very strict family. Her parents didn’t believe that she ever did anything right. It was very hard on her. She tried her hardest to do what made them happy but it never made her happy. She had gotten kicked out before and it was very hard on her. From a young age she was doing things that made her parents disown her, and it made her have a need to be close to people. Dependent on everyone around her and it was getting out of control to the point that she couldn’t function in real life any longer.

Joe|Russell Brand
He’s one of the main nurses in the Rec Room. No one ever takes Joe seriously because, let’s face it, he should be here as a patient not a nurse. No one really knows how he landed a job here, and people ask him all the time. He never realizes they are being serious though because he’s just so happy to have so many friends. Even though the patients aren’t really his friends, he believes they are in his mind, and the patients don’t mind because it’s a good thing to have a nurse on your side. In the afternoon he gives out meds, but normally he’s too busy trying to convince the patients to play video games with him.

Frank|Zach Galifianakis|
Frank comes off as a hard ass on his patients, but only because he has too. His patients are the feisty filled kids in the asylum. The ones who need Zoloft and Xanax and the ones who focus too much on themselves. He cares deeply for his patients, even if he brushes them aside from time to time on account of his need to fill his life with pink and lace. He is probably the most flamboyant man in the building, or the continent for that matter, not that it gets his patients any space for error. He runs a tight ship and he sees that his patients follow his demands. Even if it’s hanging pink shelving in his newly renovated office space.

Richard|Crispin Glover
Richard is a tough therapist who doesn’t put up with nonsense, which is why all of his patients are ones who deal with anger issues. He’s a stern man who doesn’t mess around, in fact “goofing off” is one way to really push his buttons. Back talk and other gestures are sure to get you locked in solitary confinement. Richard has been a therapist at the asylum for 5 years, and he doesn’t plan on leaving any time soon, the way he sees it, if he doesn’t straighten out the young people of today then no one will. He believes with out him the asylum would be nothing.
